Special Men’s Weekend Newsletter – April 2018
Greetings all!
The storms have passed, power to the Camp has been restored, and we’re thrilled to forward the attached abbreviated newsletter containing relevant information for Men’s Spring Walk #82, which had been rescheduled for May 10-13 due to the March power outage, including Team and Pilgrim names, Candlelight & Closing dates and times, and much more.
As this will be our Community’s first Men’s walk in several seasons, we’re hopeful to have a strong community presence at Candlelight and Closing to pay forward the love with which God blessed each of us during our respective walks, and to show these fine men chosen by God that His mission in this corner of the world is far from over.

We know as we caught up in the daily commitments of this life that taking time out of a weekend for these sorts of events can be a challenge. Yet we also know that our community has long shown that these key events remain a priority, as evidenced by the incredible turn-out for last Fall’s Luke 24 Community “Rebirth”, as well as the recent Women’s weekend. We’re hopeful that you’ll be able to gather with other SNE friends and family to show this same love, support, and presence for the upcoming Men’s Walk, which represents a significant milestone in God’s Southern New England Emmaus mission. For those unable to attend, we ask for your prayers in support of this important weekend.
For our Connecticut friends, we’d also like to remind you of the Gathering being held this Saturday – April 28 – at the Vernon UMC at 401 Hartford Turnpike in Vernon, CT from 12:00pm – 3:00pm. Lunch will be provided, followed by sharing, singing, and worship. All upcoming Gatherings, including the July 28 summer picnic, are listed in the Events tab of our website.
